Whether you’re part of a group or an enthusiastic solo knitter, we’d love to pass on your knitted teddy to a refugee or asylum-seeker child who has recently arrived in the Yorkshire region.

We offer some patterns below (some are free, some are up to £4) although you can, of course, use your own. You can also simplify these patterns to make them a bit quicker/easier. We ask only three things:

  • Bears should be big enough for children to be able to have a good hug!
  • Please stitch features etc on – no attachments or buttons that could work loose and present a risk to small children
  • Quality is really important. We’d rather each person took their time over making one really lovely bear than 10 small bears made more quickly.

Thank you so much for your time and your love!

As soon as your teddies are ready to be adopted by a refugee child, please contact us.
