On Monday 25 January 2021, we held a Zoom meeting to kick off a new collaboration between Harrogate District of Sanctuary and Ripon City of Sanctuary, to put our heads and strength together to campaign for issues affecting refugees and asylum-seekers.
It was a workshop, not a public talk – an open invitation to come and decide a way forward. 17 people attended, including Mary Brandon of Asylum Matters.
Each group will lead on a particular chosen campaign subject, and we’ll work together to do the campaigning itself. For RCoS, we’ll lead on Lift the Ban because we’re part of the Lift the Ban Coalition.
